Gulatinget is part of the¨Thing Sites International Networking Group together with Iceland, the Isle of Man, Scotland, the Shetlands, the Orkneys and the Faeroes. 

 

Need space? 

Gulatinget Millennium Site has room for everyone. With space for up to 8,000 people, the park can be used for camps, concerts, theatre, fairs, weddings, etc.

History

 

 

 

Gulatinget was the birthplace of Norway as a democratic state governed by law, with a system of government based on representative assemblies. Freemen from all along the coast gathered in Gulen to draw up laws and pass judgement on matters in direct negotiation with the king.
